This week's Twisted Thursday Challenge is Anything Goes....with the twist being....Anything goes!!   So that leaves the door wide open for your creativity!   These are always fun, because you can just create whatever you want! Our sponsors for this month are...
Sponsors for the month of January are
Besties Designs

and Paper Temptress

This is Bestie....img. 815.  Isn't she adorable?   She looks like she is ready for summer fun!
I colored her with Copic Pens, and then cut her out with a Spellbinders Die, and then cut multiple layers with the same die.   The easel card base was cut with this same die.  The flowers on the sides were cut using a Heartfelt Creations die that I just got!   I love this die.   There are many sizes of flowers to layer.

This is a view of the easel card open.

And this is the inside of the card.   I cut some more layers with the Spellbinders Die, but didn't want as many layers as the front, but I didn't want so much plain white either, so I used chalk and made a swirled background with similar colors from the papers.   I used the finger dabbers to swirl the chalk. I am learning all about creative backgrounds at Marie Gamber's fabulous class, Creative Backgrounds With Marie Gamber over at CMC.http://scrapbitzcopics.ning.com
I hope you take the time to check it out....I promise you won't be disappointed!
I love making easel cards and they really are quite easy to do.   Here are a couple of links to videos that really explain it well!

This one is for a basic easel card.

This one is for a shaped easel card.

Have a great week....thanks for stopping by!

This is a card that I made for the House Mouse & Friend's Monday Challenge this week!   I was thrilled to have been asked to be a GDT  at House Mouse & Friend's Monday Challenge for the month's of January and February!   The Challenge this week is #162, Show Some Love.
This cute stamp is called "Read My Lips"!  I just think that all these House Mouse stamps are just sooooo cute!   They are perfect for so many occasions!
I colored them with Copic Pens and  used a Spellbinder Die to cut the heart out, and then layered it on some pink heart paper!  I used Glossy Accents on  the candy hearts, and added a punched heart and also a 3D foam heart.   The bow was made on my new Zutter Bow-It-All! The sentiment is from a rubber stamp set I have had....I think it was from Hot Off The Press.

The inside of the card has some more hearts cut by a Spellbinders die, and another punched heart.   The little love bug stamp was part of the set!
Be sure to hop on over to the HMFMC to enter this fun challenge!
Thanks for stopping by!

Its Thursday and Twisted Thursday at the Outlawz is starting a brand new challenge!  The theme for this week is as always...Anything Goes....with the twist being...Winter / Snowflakes!   Our sponsors for this week are Besties and Paper Temptress!  Besties images are so much fun to color and The Paper Temptress has the most wonderful selection of paper!  Be sure to visit them!
This is Img. 0913.  She is a cute winter image with snowflakes all around her.  I colored her with Copic Pens and added Stickles to the furry parts of her outfit, and Glossy Accents on her eyes!
The blue layer is embossed with snowflakes and the large snowflakes are an ornament set I picked up at K-Mart on sale after Christmas.

The inside of the card has two hanging snowflakes that were cut with a Spellbinders Die.   The blue snowflake border is a Martha Stewart Punch, and I stamped some blue snowflakes on the background around the sentiment.

This is an overhead shot to show how the hanging snowflakes are attached.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Wow, we are halfway through January already!   I hope you are enjoying January wherever you live!
Today's card is for the new Twisted Thursday Challenge over at the Outlawz!  It starts today, January 16 and runs through midnight, January 22, 2014!   The theme for this week is ..."Anything Goes....with the twist being...Paper Piecing"!  Our sponsor for the whole month is Besties!     I used Img.0911!

She is another cutie from Besties!   They are such fun to color!   I chose a pink paper with a small print to use for her clothes!   I used a Spellbinders Die to cut the image out, matted it on some printed pink paper, and the blue layer is actually vellum, but it doesn't show up very well in a picture.
I added some Dazzle sticker embellishments and also some gems.   Of course I had to use Stickles....gotta love Stickles!   It was added to the furry parts of her outfit and to the tops of her boots.   Glossy Accents was added to her eyes!

The inside of the card had another Spellbinders Die cut and the pink strip of paper matches the layer on the front!
I hope you enjoyed this card and I hope you hop on over to the Outlawz and join us in this challenge! You could win some fabulous prizes from Besties!
Have a great week, everyone!
Thanks for stopping by!
Stay warm or cool wherever you are!

Another fun card to share today!   DeeDee's Digis has a new month long challenge up!  The first one of the year! This site is new to me and I am just loving all the cute images!!   It is a Progressive Challenge, which means if you participate each month, you automatically get the next month's digi set for free!!   You only have to buy the set the first time you join!   How cool is that?   And if you happen to fall in love with other design sets and spend more than $10, you get the current set for free!  If you just want the challenge set it is $1.25 and you get a lot!  You get a black line image, a colored image and some sentiments!   I think that is one fabulous deal!
This cute little bunny would make the perfect Valentine card for anyone!
It is colored with Copics, and some Stickles were added for the snowy parts.
All papers were just papers I had in my ever-growing stash!
The sentiment on the inside is part of the set!
I just layered the sentiment on some matching paper and used Spellbinders Dies to cut it out!  I used a punch to make some extra hearts, and put some Washi tape across the bottom!
Be sure to check out Deedee's Digi's and the new challenge!   Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by!

I have a card to share today, even though it is not Thursday!   This is a card that I am entering in the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge! The theme for this two week challenge is "use a House Mouse stamp that is new to you, one that you never used before!"  I got my first House Mouse Stamp this past fall, and I now have quite a collection! These stamps are just so darn cute and so much fun to color!  I hope you will scurry on over and check out the challenge!
This stamp is called Bears on Ice.
It was colored with Copic Pens.   The snowflakes are Dazzle Stickers and the blue ice at the bottom is glitter tape.

Inside view of the Easel Card, with more Dazzle Stickers!

I hope you will check out the challenge at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Its Thursday and that means another new challenge is starting at Twisted Thursday over at the Outlawz!  Our sponsor this week, and for the whole month of January is Sherry Baldy Besties!  These images are so cute and such fun to color!   Just like playing with paper dolls!   The image I chose to use is Img.0909.  The challenge this week is as always...."Anything Goes....with the twist
being....Hello / Goodbye"!  Maybe you need to catch up with an old friend....send them a Hello card! Is someone moving or leaving work?   How about a Goodbye card?
I made another easel card with another Spellbinders Die!   Can you tell I like easel cards?
This little cutie was colored with Copic Pens.  The image is matted on Stampin Up papers.  I added some Stickles to places on the train that might be shiny and also to the red flowers.  Some Liquid Pearls were used to make the dots on her scarf and also the periods after the sentiment.  Buttons were added for the wheels, gems on a roll were used for the tracks, and a bow with more pink and white polka dots, was added!

Inside I used the same pink and white polka dot paper by Stampin Up, and stamped the rest of the sentiment, along with a butterfly flourish.

The pink gem right above the Hello is there so that the card can be displayed in the open position.   This holds the top layer up.

I hope you will try making an easel card...they really are fun to make!
Thanks for stopping by!

I have a new card to share today that I am going to enter in the Words 2 Scrap By Challenge!   This is a brand new challenge site and this is their first challenge!  The theme is to use something from the song "Favorite Things"!  I used "Raindrops"!
This image is from Saturated Canary, and she clearly forgot her umbrella!
So.......

I put an umbrella on the inside of the card for her!   It is just one of those little drink umbrellas!
This was a fun card to make and I hope you enjoy it!   Be sure to check out the new challenge blog
Words 2 Scrap By!  I think they are going to have lots of fun ideas!

Happy New Year!!!
I just would like to wish everyone a Healthy And Happy 2014!
Can you believe it is January, already?  Where has the time gone?  The holidays just flew by.  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and got to spend lots of time with family and friends!  Now it is time to settle in for a snowy winter here in Northern Maine!  Lots of crafting time!
So it might be a good time to try out all your new craft things you got for Christmas!   How about joining us at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge?  The challenge for this week is as always...."Anything Goes...with the twist being.....A Lady In A Hat"!  You can always do just the Anything Goes part, but if you add the twist your name gets entered twice for the monthly drawing!  Our sponsor this month is Sherry Baldy Besties!   These are such cute images and so much fun to color! I used Img 910 and it can be found here.
She is so cute in her Santa hat!   I colored her with Copic Pens and added some Stickles for the furry parts of her hat and skirt!  I cut the ovals with a Spellbinders Die and I also cut the Poinsettia with a Spellbinders die and added a pearl to the center.   The Noel at the top is an ornament that I got in a pack from Wal-Mart.  It is about 1/8 of an inch thick, so you do need a padded envelope to mail this one.

The inside of the card is done using another Spellbinders die.   I believe it is called Lacy Ovals.   The stamp is an old stamp I have had for years, but I still like it and it is the perfect size for this small oval!  The red stripe is a piece of glitter tape that matches the red glitter paper both on the front and inside of the card.
So come on over to the Outlawz and join us at the Twisted Thursday Challenge!
Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping in this week!
Janet
