Its the first week of October and we have a new month of fun challenges at Twisted Thursday! Our sponsor this month is The Greeting Farm.
The twist this week is...Charmed!
I created the background paper using real flowers and pressing them into paper to create the fairy scene! I added some dragonfly charms!
The Twist this week at Twisted Thursday is...Leaf/Leaves. Our sponsor this month is
DigiStamps 4 Joy. This week I used the image numbered ds016, an adorable owl!
I tried something new. This is a pressed leaf technique. I used real leaves, Mountain Ash and Silver Maple, that I picked in my yard. I placed the leaves between two pieces of watercolor paper and ran it through my Big Shot Machine. You end up with two finished pieces, but one is much lighter. Depending on the type of leaf you use, you may also get an indentation in the paper like a debossed image! I'm still experimenting with different leaves!
This is a card I made for the Progressive Freebie Challenge at the Outlawz! The sponsor this month is the wonderfully talented Jean at Tangle Street Colorway! She generously donated two images this month! I chose to work with this one!
I made a side step card with two of the adorable Angelfish. I added some other fun ocean creatures to complete the scene!
There is still time to join the fun at the Progressive Freebie Challenge! You don't want to miss out on these images!
August is here and a new challenge is starting at Twisted Thursday. Our sponsor for the month is Your Next Stamp. I bought a couple of stamp sets to use that you will be seeing during the month. The first twist is Faux Stitches! I used the Stamp set called One In A Chameleon!
I used Chameleon pencils to color this image! Chameleon pencils to color a chameleon!
Its the last week of July, so that means the Twist is Anything Goes at Twisted Thursday! We have enjoyed having Fun Stamper's Journey as our sponsor this month! Be sure to visit them! This is my last mermaid project! I have really enjoyed working with this image!
I started by making a swirly blue/green background with nail polish on water color paper! I then covered the background with glitter tulle. There is a subtle sparkle that is hard to see in the picture. I then added some Dazzles to my underwater scene. All of this was added to a piece of glitter paper.
The Twist this week at Twisted Thursday is...A Shaped Card! Our sponsor this month is Fun Stamper's Journey! This is the second way I used the mermaid stamp I was given!
I made a round card and tried to make it look like a Port Hole! Imagine looking out and seeing a mermaid swim by! I also decided to make this into a shaker card so the sequins look like bubbles! The background paper also come from Fun Stamper's Journey!
July has begun and we have a new sponsor at Twisted Thursday...Fun Stamper's Journey! We were all given a different stamp to work with this month. This was both fun and challenging! I enjoyed it! I was given a mermaid stamp to work with, so you will be seeing her all month! Our Twist this week is..Inchies! I decided to do my entire background in shiny, holographic Inchies.
The mermaid is mounted on a wobbler to help her "swim"!
The Twist at Twisted Thursday this week is...Fun In The Sun! That's an appropriate twist for the beginning of Summer! Our sponsor this month is Whimsy Stamps! I used the image called Lexi's Beach Ball!
Twisted Thursday is celebrating Christmas this week with a Christmas twist! Why not join us and get a head start on those Christmas cards! Our sponsor this month is Whimsy Stamps! I used this cute image called Star of Bethlehem!
The Twisted Thursday Challenge is starting and the twist this week is...a masculine card!
Our sponsor this month is Whimsy Stamps. I used this image called Double Scoop and made a shaker card! I thought this would make a perfect card for a little boy!
Its the first week of June and we have a new sponsor at Twisted Thursday...Whimsy Stamps! The Twist this week is...Stars! I used this image called Crabby Cranston! I made a shaker card and mounted Crabby on a wobbler! My stars were...Starfish!
