I can't believe its the end of February already!  Its Thursday, so that means the start of another new challenge at Twisted Thursday at the Outlawz!  This week the theme is "Anything Goes, with the Twist being....Anything Goes"!  Our sponsor this month is Stitchy Bear.  I used the image called Tree On A Hill.
I started by coloring the image with Polychromos Pencils.   I just added a bit of color, not much.   I then added some color to the sky and ground, again not much.  Then I used the dryer sheet technique.  You can find many videos demonstrating this technique.  I used spray glue on the back of the dryer sheet and then laid it on top of the image.  Then I added some super fine glitter and rubbed it in with my fingers.  I tapped off the excess and what stays behind sticks in the glue, so it doesn't keep falling off.  I did the whole card in brown tones.  The first layer is a dark brown snowflake paper and the Kraft paper has been embossed with snowflakes!  A piece of brown ribbon with some gems was added for contrast.

Inside is rather plain, I just kept the brown theme.

This is a closeup trying to show the glitter!
Come join us at the Outlawz this week, you just may be the winner of some awesome prizes!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, Thursday!!   That means that a new fun challenge is starting at Twisted Thursday over at the Outlawz!  The theme is "Anything Goes, with the twist being...an Easel Card"!  Our sponsor this month is Stitchy Bear!  I used the image called "So Many Fish"!
I colored the image with Polychromos pencils, but I did the water, grass and sky with Pastel pencils!  That was a first for me, and I found out I like working with them!  I did have to spray it with a fixative when I was finished and luckily it didn't affect the colored pencils!  I added some flowers and a sentiment.  The flowers were given to me by a dear friend, and I just love them!  I have been using them a lot!

Inside, I added some more flowers and the rest of the sentiment, that was punched out of the background that was cut away from the image.
I hope you can join us at the Outlawz this week!   There is always so much inspiration there!
Thanks for stopping by this week!

I have another card to share today, using an image from Deedee's Digi!   This is the image for February and the Progressive Challenge at Deedee's.  Its called Forever Friends.
I used this cute image of two tigers.   I colored them with Polychromos colored pencils, and then cut the image out.  I used a die from Papertrey Ink to cut the green leafy layer.   The background paper is from an Origami paper pack and I thought it looked like a sunset.  The bottom part of the card is just some brown paper that has a pattern, to make it look like they are sitting on the ground.

Inside is simple, to leave plenty of room for writing!
Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to head on over to Deedee's Digis to join in the fun!
Have a great week!

Happy Thursday, everyone!  We have a new challenge starting today at the Twisted Thursday challenge at the Outlawz!  The challenge is Anything Goes with the twist being....Use a Doily!   With Valentine's Day coming soon, this shouldn't be too hard to do!  Our sponsor this month is Stitchy Bear.  I used  the image called Forever Yours.
I colored the image with Polychromos colored pencils ( I love these pencils), and then cut it out.  I also added some Stickles to the hearts on her shirt and on her hat.  I decided to make a Rocker card using a Lucky 8 punch, to make the base layer that had hearts around the border.  The smaller circle was cut with a small Lucky 8 punch.  The white hearts on the red background are the ones cut out with the punch and turned over to the backside.   The image was then mounted on the white circle with a Wobbler.

Inside, I added a foam greeting and some more hearts!
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

A new Twisted Thursday Challenge over at the Outlawz
is getting started today.   The challenge is the normal Anything Goes, with the twist being...A People Card!     Our awesome sponsor this month is Stitchy Bear!  I used this image called Dress Up!
I colored  the image with Polychromos colored pencils.   I then added the background with Caran D'Ache watercolor crayons!   These are so much fun to work with, the colors blend so easily.  I then added Flower Soft to the boa, and some Stickles to the purse, and her necklace.   I also added  some Dazzles as the sentiment and to her hat and purse.

Inside I added more Dazzles and another sentiment that was given to me by a dear friend!
I hope you can join us this week at the Twisted Thursday Challenge!
Thanks for stopping by this week!
