Wow, I was nominated for the Liebster Award by my good friend Darcy, over at Crafting with Darcy!  This is a pretty cool award for  bloggers with less than 300 followers!  You can read all about it here!
I want to thank Darcy for  giving me this honor!  Part of the award is to nominate 5 more blogs for this award and to answer some questions about yourself that were given by the nominator, so here goes!
1.  How long have you been crafting?

I have been crafting for as long as I can remember!   As a very young child I loved coloring books....and today I am still coloring, but instead of crayons ( well, sometimes crayons ) I use Copic Markers...A.K.A....grown-up crayons!

2. Did someone inspire you to start crafting?

We had a wonderful art teacher in elementary school, Mrs. Lewis, and she always had the coolest projects for us to do.   I would often go home and do the project over again with the help of my Mom.

3. What is your favorite type of craft?

That changes a lot because I like to try so many new things, but at the moment it is Copic coloring and making cards.

4. Do you craft alone or in a group?

    Alone

5. What are your favorite tools or gadgets?

That is a tough one, but currently I am loving Spellbinders Dies!

6.  Is your craft room a) Immaculate  b)Somewhat messy, but organized c) Disaster Zone

I am going with C, but I prefer to call it Creative Chaos!

7.  Digi images or rubber?

I use both, but prefer digs ( so easy to store)!

8.  What kind of projects are out of your comfort zone?

I am just starting to fool around with Mixed Media, so I am not comfortable with that, yet!

9.  When shopping for crafty things, do you prefer online sites or actual stores?

I guess online, because I tend to get carried away in stores and just can't leave!

10.  Do you have a monthly crafting budget?

       No, but I should!

11.  Of all the bloggers you know, who has inspired you the most?

There are a lot, but I would pick Pat St. Martin, and Darcy Schroeder, because both have taken
the time to help me get started on my way to blogging!   I had no idea what I was doing and
sometimes I still don't, but they are always there to help and give me ideas!   Thanks you, Pat
         and Darcy!

Here we are almost at the end of April, and this is our last challenge for April.  The Twisted Thursday challenge this week at the Outlawz is "Anything Goes...with the twist being....Anything Goes"!  Everyone likes an Anything Goes Challenge!   I can't wait to see all your awesome creations!
Another beautiful pre-colored image from Nicecrane Designs! I added some real feathers from my pet bird!  I added a Washi tape border and then some ribbon on the corners with some pearls.  These images are so beautiful that they really don't need much else to be added!

Inside, I put a simple sentiment, and some cut out feathers from a Quikcutz die, and Washi tape across the bottom.
I want to thank our generous sponsors for the months of March and April!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for stopping by!

I hope everyone had a nice Easter, and that spring has arrived in your neck of the woods!
House Mouse has a new Challenge starting today, and running for two weeks!   The challenge is pop up some part of your design!   I made this fun Baby Card for my daughter's friend!   I love this House Mouse image, and thought he was just perfect for my card!
I colored this with Copic Pens and used a SB die to cut it out!  The main image is popped up on a Wobbler and the sentiment on the front is on Pop Dots.  The papers are all from a We R Memory Keepers 6x6 pad.

The inside sentiment is from a Hot Off the Press set.  I used the same papers as on the front and added some blue ribbon.
Scurry on over to House Mouse and see all the awesome cards from the DT and all the entries coming in!
Have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by!

Another great Twisted Thursday Challenge is happening at the Outlawz!  Today we have an easy one for you!   The twist is "A Birthday Card"!   As always you can just enter the challenge with "Anything Goes", you do not have to add the twist.

This is another beautiful pre-colored image from Nicecrane Designs.   This is the place to go for Vintage images and prints!   They have so many gorgeous images and the pre-colored ones print beautifully!   Be sure to visit them!
I kept this one simple and just added some die cut branches to the scene, matted the image on three layers, then added some ribbon on two corners with some Dazzle stickers on top of the ribbon.

Inside I used a gold Dazzle Happy Birthday sentiment, another die cut branch and a thin Dazzle border on the top and bottom.  I used a SB die to cut the shape for the sentiment.

Today I have a card that was made for the Deedee's Digis Challenge!  This is a month long challenge using the cutest images from Deedee!  You have to buy the image for the first time you enter the challenge, and after that you receive the next month's images free as long as you enter the challenges.  It only costs $1.25 to buy the set of images and you do get a lot, including colored images, black line images, you color, and sentiments!   It really is a great deal! This month's images are called "Under Your Wing" and it is just the most adorable  Mommy and Baby Owl!  It is perfect for Mother's day or a baby card or an all occasion card!   So much can be done with this image!
First, I printed the image on Cryogen White, so there is some sparkle in the paper. but you really can't see it in the picture.   I then colored it with Copic Pens, cut the image and the mat with a SB die, and added a moon and some branches that were also done with dies!  The sentiment was also cut and matted using SB dies.  I added a bit of bling to the sentiment.   The whole image is on holographic background paper.   It is a piece I have had for a long time....wish I knew where it came from, because I would like some more!  The stars sparkle and change color when you move it in different light.

The inside is plain for now....room to write, or add another sentiment.  I used more SB dies, and a fancy lace die.
Hop on over to check out the cool challenge going on at Deedee's!  You still have time to get in on the fun!
Thanks for stopping by!

It's Thursday, and the new Twisted Thursday Challenge is up and running at the Outlawz!  Today's challenge is the normal "Anything Goes...with the twist being...A Gatefold Card"!  These can be made in so many ways, and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
I used a beautiful pre-colored image from Nicecrane Designs, who is one of our sponsors this month. They have the most beautiful vintage images and prints!
I made the front of my card look like barn doors.  I embossed the paper with a wood grain folder, and then added some distress inks to make the wood grain show up better.  I added some grass and flower cutouts, an awesome pair of cowboy boots that are metal charms, a Dazzle for a hinge, and the rope hanging on the door functions as the closure for the card.

The inside reveals the beautiful Nicecrane image!  I distressed the edges of the image slightly, added more wood grain embossed papers, and the sentiment is a brown Dazzle that I thought was perfect!

Its the first week of April!  Hard to believe that we are already in April, and it is Thursday, so it is the beginning of a brand new Twisted Thursday Challenge at the Outlawz!  This week we have an easy one for you...."Anything Goes....with the twist being....Your Favorite Color"!   I can't wait to see what  everyone comes up with!   My favorite colors seem to change from season to season....sometimes day to day.  I have always loved this color combo....light yellow and denim blue!   It seems cheery, and reminds me of a summer day!
This is another Nicecrane Designs image.   I really like these little girls that look like Hummel Figurines.  This image is VCK45BW.  I colored her with Copic Pens, and cut her out with the SB matting dies.   I have sets A and B, so I could mat at 1/8 inch increments.   I saw a video a while back where it was suggested to use a permanent marker and mark the backs of the dies with an A or B!  Now I understand why!!!!   Once they get mixed up, it is very difficult to find the right ones to use, or to put them away again...ask me how I know!   Mine are now marked!!

For the inside of the card, I used another SB die that a dear friend gave me (Thank you, Darcy)!   It cuts the slits at the bottom so that you can thread a ribbon through!   It has a nice border of dots and then the fancy ribbon threaded at the bottom!   At the top I added two feathers and a tiny bow!   The two feathers are courtesy of one of my pet birds....Thank you,  Eddie!   His feathers were the perfect color!  He is a Sun Conure!

Our fabulous sponsors again this week are:
Be sure to visit both sponsors for some wonderful deals!
Thank you, Sponsors!!
Thanks for stopping by this week, I hope to see you over at the Outlawz!
Have a great week!
