Happy New Year, Everyone!!!
I hope everyone has a Healthy and Happy 2014!
Today I have a Happy New Year card to share.  The image is from The Paper Shelter.  They have some really cute images there, be sure to check it out!  I made this card an easel card!  They are very easy to make and any shape will work!   I used Spellbinders Dies to cut the shape.
This card is purrrfect for a cat lover!
Aren't they cute?

It was colored with Copic Pens, the silver and red glossy paper is from The Paper Temptress. There are so many beautiful papers there.  She has wonderful prices and lots to choose from!

The inside has a festive paper from my ever-growing stash!  The Happy New Year sentiment was made and printed on my ZinkhAppy printer!   This is a very cool little gadget! Whenever I am stuck for a sentiment, I use this!   Not only can you write anything you want, but you can make your background any way you want in any color you want!  The red background is the edge of the print and then I matted it on some silver glossy paper, and added some gems!

Easel cards are fun and easy to display!

Thanks for stopping by....have a Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone!  Did you all have a Merry Christmas?  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and friends!  I haven't had much time for crafting, because our daughter is home for a week and we are having so much fun just hanging out and doing fun stuff!  But I did get this card done before she got home.   It is for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge!  The challenge this time is to use Silver and/or Gold along with a House Mouse, Gruffies or Happy Hoppers stamp! This is challenge HMFMC 160. The challenge runs though Jan 11, 2014, so you have plenty of time to make one with all your new Christmas goodies!
This cute stamp is called Gifts Galore!  This little guy is so cute trying to carry his big load of gifts!
I used the scalloped ovals Spellbinder Dies to cut the gold and silver glitter paper layers, and the white stamped layer.  The bow was made with more glitter paper and I used the WeR Memory Keepers envelope Punch Board to make the bow!  Of course the stamp was colored with Copics!   It was so much fun coloring all the packages!   I used Gelly Roll glitter pens to color the bows on the packages, just to add a little more sparkle and bling!

The inside of the card is another Spellbinder Die of an intricate Christmas tree, cut out of gold glitter paper!   The Merry Christmas is another die, and cut out of the same glitter paper.  The gold strips running vertically are Dazzle Stickers.
I hope you find a few minutes to scurry on over to the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge to see all the great cards by the DT and also the entries that are already there!
I will see you in a couple of days with something new!!
Happy New Year!

Wow, the day after Christmas!   I hope everyone had a super holiday!   Take a break and relax!  Did you get some new goodies for crafting?   Maybe its time to try out some of those new things in this week's Twisted Thursday Challenge at the Outlawz!  The challenge is "Anything Goes..with the twist being a One Layer Card"!  What does a One Layer Card mean to you?  Let us see what your imagination comes up with.
Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear, and the image I chose to work with is called Snowy Mailbox.   You can find it here.

This is a shaker card.  The window frame was cut using the Silhouette machine.  They have so many wonderful files at the Silhouette store.  I used some super fine glitter for the snow.

What the window scene looks like when it is snowing and blowing outside!

Turn the card over and this is the greeting on the back!  Nothing to open, just turn it over to read this one layer card!
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this challenge!
Thanks for stopping in this week!

Just a few days until Christmas, are you ready?  I am almost there!   I decided I was going to continue making a few Christmas cards even after Christmas.  That either means I am really late, or super early for next year!   Lets go with super early!  So you may see some Christmas things popping up after Christmas!  But for today, I made this super cute Snowman Card for a very dear friend!
He is very easy to make, using a die!   Stampin Up makes a die called a top note die that can be used for this.   I used a Spellbinders die to make the white base and then cut it again for the black part of the hat.   I then freehanded the brim shape.   I used buttons for his eyes and mouth, cut a nose and added the paper bow and holly leaves.   The glitter paper is from Stampin Up.   Their glitter paper is quite thick and worked great for the hat so it doesn't fall backwards.   Otherwise you may have to back it with something to give it some stiffness.   There are many versions of this card on Youtube and Pinterest.

Then I made these snowman, candy holders!   There is a York Peppermint Patty in between the layers of his stomach!   They would make such cute school treats!   There is enough room to write names on the snowman!   I even tried other mini candy bars, and they work, too!
This is made with the WeR Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board, or the Stampin Up Punch Board!  I followed this Youtube video http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=19QLlO883mM  by Jackie Topa.   She explains all the measurements really well.   However, if you don't have the punchboard, I think the directions could be easily adapted to a small circle punch or even tracing something like a quarter or even free handing it!   The cuts are so simple you don't reality need the punchboard!
The scarves and hat band are made with Washi tape and then I added black gems for the buttons and a flower embellishment on his hat.   The buttons can be done with paper dots and so can the flower!
These are fast and fun to make, and older children certainly could do them!
Happy Holidays to everyone!
I really appreciate all that visit my blog!

Less than a week until Christmas....is everyone ready?   I'm still working on wrapping, but its getting there!   Well, its Thursday, and that means another new challenge over at the Outlawz!  This week the Twisted Thursday Challenge is as always...."Anything Goes, with the twist being, Anything Goes"!  That means....anything goes....let your imagination run wild!   Do anything you want and enter the challenge!  What a great challenge to celebrate the week before Christmas!  The sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear!   The image I used is called Christmas Candle and you can find it here!

I used the Silhouette machine to cut out the green frame around the  image.  The image is colored with Copic Pens.  I added some red Stickles where the wax is dripping.  Some stars were cut from glitter paper using a small punch.  Some faceted gems were added to the corners for holly berries, and a Memory Box die was used to cut the red corner embellishment.

The inside of the card has another Silhouette cut out!
I hope to see you over at the Outlawz challenges!
Thank you for stopping by!
Happy Holidays!

Another week closer to Christmas and another new Twisted Thursday Challenge is up at the Outlawz!  This week its all about Snowflakes!  Is it snowing in your part of the country?   We have had some here in Northern Maine!  Think snowflakes this week and see what you can come up with for the challenge!  Our great sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear!  The image I used is called  Snowflake Memories!

I think this little penguin is just adorable.  He is looking at all the beautiful snowflakes falling around him!  I used different sized punches to punch the snowflakes and then put a clear gem embellishment in the middle to add a bit more sparkle.   I also added some Stickles to the snow.  He is colored with Copic Pens.  The paper is just from my ever growing stash!

The inside of the card has a layer of white glitter paper that is hard to see.   On top of that is a snowflake embossed piece of vellum from the Paper Temptress.   That is followed by a three inch blue circle with a sentiment.  In the corners I added two snowflake stickers just to have more snow!

I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday Season!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by for a little visit!
I appreciate all visitors and comments!
Have a good week!

Something a little different this week!  I have been working on some Christmas cards using House Mouse designs!   These stamps are just so cute!   So I thought I would share some of my cards I have been working on.  Be sure to check the House Mouse site and enter some of their challenges!
This is Mouse E. Claus  He is bringing a gift to someone special!
I colored him with Copic pens and added some Stickles to the snow and to his hat!  I then added Glossy Accents to the package!  I used an oval Spellbinders die to cut the image out and also to cut the green glitter layer.   The paper bow was made with the WeR Memory Keepers envelope punch board.    A couple of gems in the corner and the front was finished!

On the inside of the card, I kept it simple.   I stamped Merry Christmas and added a red glitter snowflake ornament that the recipient can hang on their tree!

This next one is called Chin Up!   Another cute image to work with for holiday cards!  He was colored with Copics, and cut with the Spellbinders oval die, as was the glitter layer underneath.  I then used some Christmas paper from Anna Griffin to make this rocker card!   Added a bit of twine at the top and two brads along with holly leaves and berries cut with another Spellbinder die!

Inside I tried something a little different.  I followed the oval theme from the front, but added a layer of vellum that had been embossed with a holly design.   Its a beautiful vellum from the PaperTemptress ( she has wonderful papers and great prices)!  And I added some more holly leaves and berries!

This next one is called Reindeer Games!  It was colored with Copics and then Glossy Accents was added to the berries and Stickles was added to the snow!  More glitter paper was used to layer with some paper that reminds me of candy canes!

Inside the card just has some of the striped paper and a poinsettia that was cut with the same Spellbinders die that has the holly leaves ad berries in it!   This is a great die set!
Thats it for now!  Come back on Thursday to see the new Twisted Thursday Outlawz challenge!  We have another fun one planned for you!
Thanks for stopping by....stay warm everyone!
